  • Operational Membership (Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services)
  • Associate Membership (Bingo, Rehab, etc.)
  • Auxiliary Membership

Membership Requirements

Minimum age 18 years.  As a part of our team, operational members are required to spend at least one night a week and one week end per month for duty.

Application Process

All of the above are provided by the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department. Each member will be provided with the necessary equipment and uniforms to complete their training.

• Submit Membership Application
• Attend "First reading" company meeting
• Background Check 
• Complete Physical
• Drug Test
• Participate in Department Activities (during application process)
• Attend "Second reading" company meeting
• Be voted in by the current membership  
• Complete the following training courses within the first 12 months of membership:
  • Firefighter I and prerequisite classes, Hazardous Materials Awareness, CPR
